UL508A panel job

I'm working on an upgrade for a 2019 bottling line, and the panel I'm building needs a 60A main disconnect. I've got easy access to a UL98-rated fusible switch, but I'm wondering if it's really necessary??? Like it could be too much because from what I've read, UL508A is all that's required for listed panels, and UL98 might be more than what the code actually demands for this type of install. Is there a real advantage to using UL98 here, or should I just stick with a 508A-compliant unit and keep it simple?
 
UL98's usually the go to for main shut offs coz it's built tough for heavy duty stuff and keeps things safer. UL508A's fine for motor panels, but if you're dealing with bigger power or just want to avoid the inspector giving you any headaches, UL98's the safer choice
 
UL98 fusible switches are often preferred for main disconnects because they're designed specifically for that role, they handle high fault currents safely and provide visible disconnects. UL508A covers control panels and lets you use various disconnect methods, but it doesn't always ensure the same ruggedness and safety margin as UL98 switches
 
If you're building a listed industrial control panel, UL508A is the actual requirement, and you don't have to use a UL98 disconnect unless the specs or AHJ specifically call for it. UL98 switches can handle broader duty (like motor loads or frequent switching), so they're more robust but also pricier and maybe overkill for your setup.
